A circular saw is guided by hand or a fence. A Festool track saw (plunge saw) runs on a guide rail laid directly on the cut line, so the cut lands exactly on the rail edge with a splinter-free finish on both sides, and you can start a cut in the middle of a panel. For sheet goods, worktops and doors a TS 55 or TS 60 on a rail is more accurate than most site table saws and far easier to move.

The TS 55 is the standard choice for sheet goods, cabinetry and solid timber. The TS 60 cuts deeper and suits thick worktops and hardwood. The TSC 55 is the cordless TS 55 on Festool's 18 V batteries for site work. All three run on the same FS guide rails.

The Domino cuts a precise mortise for a loose beech tenon in each part you want to join, giving a strong, aligned joint in seconds. The DF 500 uses 4 to 10 mm Dominos for cabinets, frames, chairs and tables. The DF 700 XL uses 8 to 14 mm Dominos for doors, gates, beds and heavy frames.

For a workshop, or for saws, routers and planers on site, the CTL 26 with its 26-litre container is the standard choice. For installers and finishing work the compact CTL MIDI is lighter to carry and still runs every Festool tool. The CT 15 is the entry-level extractor. All switch on automatically with the tool and take the same CLEANTEC hoses, and Systainers lock onto the top.

Festool 18 V battery packs fit every 18 V Festool tool we stock: the CXS 18 and TXS 18 compact drills, the C 18 and T 18, the TSC 55 cordless track saw, the VECTURO oscillator, the RSC 18 reciprocating saw and the BHC 18 hammer drill. The 12 V CXS 12 and TXS 12 use their own smaller packs. Buy one tool as a Set or Plus with batteries and charger, then add Basic (bare) tools.

Systainer³ comes in S, M, L and XXL footprints, and the number in the name is the height in millimetres: a SYS3 M 137 is 137 mm tall, a SYS3 L 237 is 237 mm tall.
