Push blocks and table saw safety gear from MicroJig: the GRR-RIPPER 3D pushblock system in every version from the GR-100+ to the GR-300MAX, the Smart GRR-RIP, the GRR-RIPPER2 GO, and the SteelPro splitter sets. These are for anyone who rips narrow stock on a table saw, bandsaw, router table or jointer and wants their hands kept well clear of the blade.
Choosing a push block
- GR-100+ Basic: the core GRR-RIPPER with adjustable legs that straddle the blade and hold the work down and against the fence on both sides of the cut.
- GR-200 3D Advance: adds the Gravity Heel and stabilising plate for better control on long rips.
- GR-200PRO and GR-300MAX: the fully loaded kits with extra legs and attachments for thin rips and resawing.
- Smart GRR-RIP and GRR-RIPPER2 GO: simpler, cheaper blocks with a grip pad for jointer and bandsaw work, or as a second block to hand-off a long board.
Table saw accessories that stop kickback
Kickback happens when the kerf closes on the blade behind the cut. The MicroJig SteelPro splitter sits in a zero-clearance insert and keeps the kerf open on saws that have no riving knife; choose the thin-kerf set for 2.4 mm blades and the 1/8" set for full-kerf blades. Combined with a GRR-RIPPER keeping downward and sideways pressure on the workpiece, it removes the two main causes of a thrown board.
