Angle grinder cutting discs for steel, stainless, concrete, tile and stone, in 115 mm, 125 mm, 180 mm and 230 mm sizes. The range is mostly Bosch Professional, with Martlet diamond discs, Makita abrasive wheels and DeWalt discs for the DCS438 cordless cut-off tool. Builders, welders, plumbers and tilers will find the thin metal discs they get through by the box, and diamond blades that last.
Choosing angle grinder cutting discs
- Match the disc to the grinder: 115 mm and 125 mm for small grinders, 180 mm and 230 mm for the big ones. The bore is 22.23 mm on all of them.
- Steel and inox: abrasive discs from 1 mm to 3 mm thick. Thin 1 mm discs cut fast with little burr; 2.5 mm and 3 mm last longer on heavy section. Use the inox discs on stainless so you do not contaminate the weld area.
- Diamond blades: segmented rims for concrete, brick and block; turbo rims for faster, cleaner cuts in masonry; continuous rims for ceramic and porcelain tile. Bosch Standard and Best lines are split by material.
- Bigger than a grinder: the 300 mm to 450 mm diamond blades and 355 mm abrasive wheels in this collection are for petrol cut-off saws and chop saws, not angle grinders.
Diamond blade for angle grinder vs steel cutting disc
An abrasive steel disc wears away as it cuts and is cheap enough to treat as a consumable. A diamond blade costs more up front but cuts masonry a steel disc cannot touch, and the Bosch EXPERT MultiMaterial discs will go through rebar in concrete. If you only cut mild steel, stay with abrasive discs.
Browse by type: steel cutting discs, masonry cutting discs, or grinding discs for weld dressing.
