Glue guns for the workshop, from a pocket-sized cordless hot glue pen to industrial knot-filling kits. Hot melt is the quickest way to hold jigs, templates and mock-ups together, fix trim and fill timber defects, and this collection suits hobbyists, cabinet shops and joinery production lines alike. We stock Bosch, Dremel, Einhell, Metabo and the Wood Repair Thermelt system.
Choosing a glue gun
- Corded or cordless. The Dremel 910-3 and 940 and the Metabo KE 3000 plug into the wall and are ready whenever you need them. The Bosch Gluey pen runs on AA batteries for small craft and detail jobs, while the Einhell TE-CG 18 Li and Metabo HK 18 LTX 20 use your existing 18V tool batteries.
- Stick diameter. Smaller guns take 7mm sticks; the Dremel 940 and Metabo guns use 11mm sticks that deliver more glue per squeeze for larger work.
- Heavy-duty filling. The Wood Repair Thermelt Plus+ and Pro kits are built for filling knots and voids in timber before finishing, with colour-matched sticks sold separately.
Cordless glue gun or mains?
A cordless glue gun earns its place on site and at assembly benches where a lead gets in the way. Mains guns heat faster and never run flat mid-job, which still makes them the sensible pick for a fixed workstation. Whichever you choose, keep stock of the right diameter in the glue sticks collection. Knot-filling sticks, cleaning sticks and cooling blocks for the Thermelt system live under Wood Repair, and the Dremel 940 is our everyday workshop recommendation.
