Pneumatic tools run cooler, lighter and longer than their electric equivalents, which is why workshops with a compressor on the wall still reach for air. This collection covers Metabo air impact wrenches, ratchets, die grinders, angle grinders, disc sanders, band files, chipping hammers, air drills and screwdrivers, plus GAV quick couplers, connectors, line regulators and air dusters, and Einhell compressor accessory kits.
Choosing pneumatic tools
Impact wrench drive size. Metabo DSSW air impact wrenches are stocked in 1/2" for wheel nuts and general workshop use, 3/4" for truck and plant, and 1" drive for the heaviest bolting.
Grinding and finishing. The Metabo DG 700 die grinders take burrs and mounted points for porting and weld clean-up. The DW 125 air angle grinder, DSX 150 disc sander and DBF 457 band file cover fabrication and bodywork.
Air fittings that match. GAV universal quick couplers in 1/4" male and female and 8mm hose tail, German-style connectors and PTFE tape make the hose system up. Keep spares, because a leaking coupler costs more in compressor running time than it does to replace.
Clean, dry air. The GAV filter and reducer line regulator removes water and sets working pressure, which protects tool seals and keeps spray finishes clean.
Compressor capacity. Check the tool's air consumption against the compressor's free air delivery, especially for sanders and grinders that run continuously.
Air tools and the compressor behind them
Every air tool is only as good as its supply. See our compressors for units from workshop portables to belt-drive tanks, the complete air fittings range for couplers, hoses and regulators, and spray guns for finishing. The full Metabo range covers the cordless alternatives when there is no compressor on site.
