Welding cable sold by the cut length and by the drum, with the Dinse connectors, panel sockets and cable lugs to terminate it. This collection is for welders extending their earth and electrode leads, replacing damaged cable, or fitting out a workshop with longer runs from the machine to the job. Everything here is Matweld.
Choosing welding cable
- Cross-section. Stocked in 16mm², 25mm² and 35mm². Use 16mm² for small inverters on short leads, 25mm² for most workshop MIG and MMA machines, and 35mm² for high-amperage machines or long runs where voltage drop matters.
- Length. 16mm² and 25mm² are available in 6m, 30m and 100m; 35mm² in 10m, 30m and 100m. Buy the longer drum if you are making up several leads.
- Connector size. Dinse plugs and sockets are stocked in 10/25, 35/50 and 50/70 sizes. The size must match both the machine socket and the cable cross-section, so check the existing plug before ordering.
- Lugs. Crimp lugs are stocked from 16mm to 70mm with a 12mm hole for earth clamps and terminals.
Welding cable connectors and Dinse plugs
Male and female Dinse connectors, panel-mount sockets and connector sets let you build or repair any lead, and the MIG power cable and TIG connector cable and hose cover torch-side replacements. Earth clamps and electrode holders are in welding clamps and holders, contact tips and shrouds in welding nozzles and tips, and the machines themselves in welding machines.
