Corded blowers are mains-powered dust blowers for the workshop, site and garage rather than the garden. They clear sawdust from benches and machines, blow out tools and vehicles, and dry surfaces before painting. This collection holds corded electric blowers from Bosch Professional and Makita.
Choosing a corded blower
- Blow only or blow and collect. The Bosch Professional Blower GBL 650 is a plain blower for clearing dust. The Bosch Professional Blower With Dust Extraction GBL 800 E and the Makita Blower UB1103 with dust bag can also vacuum debris into a bag.
- Speed control. The Makita Blower UB1103 has variable speed, which helps when you want a gentle blow across a finished surface. Fixed-speed units are fine for rough clearing.
- Size and weight. The Makita Mt Series Blower M4000B and Makita Blower UB1102 are compact one-hand tools. The GBL 800 E is larger and suited to longer sessions.
- Cable length. A corded blower only reaches as far as the lead. Plan for an extension cord if the bench is far from the socket.
Corded blower or cordless blower
A corded blower never runs out of charge, so it suits a fixed workshop, a spray booth or a loading bay where the socket is always close. A cordless blower is better for walking around a site or clearing a vehicle in the yard. For leaves and lawns, a dedicated garden leaf blower moves more air than a workshop blower and is the better buy. Use this page for dust and debris, and the leaf blower hub for the garden.
These corded blowers are in stock at our Claremont, Cape Town shop and we courier nationwide. Our staff use these blowers every day to clean down machines and can advise. See all blower types at leaf blowers, battery models at cordless blowers, and vacuums at dust extraction.
