This is our full angle grinder range, covering compact 115mm grinders for light cutting and grinding through to 230mm grinders for heavy fabrication and construction work, in both corded and cordless formats. It suits metalworkers, welders, builders and DIYers who need to cut, grind or polish metal, tile, stone or masonry.
Choosing an angle grinder
Disc size determines what the grinder is built for: a 115mm grinder is light and manoeuvrable, good for detail grinding, cutting thin metal and tight spaces, while a 230mm grinder takes a bigger disc and delivers more cutting depth and grinding power for structural steel, concrete and heavier fabrication work. A 125mm grinder sits between the two and is a common all-rounder. Corded grinders give continuous power for long grinding sessions, while cordless grinders suit site work and jobs away from a power point, provided the battery runtime matches the task. Always check the guard is fitted and rated for the disc you're using, match disc type to the material (metal, stone or masonry), and never exceed the grinder's rated disc size.
