Osmo interior wood finishes in stock in Cape Town. Osmo Polyx®-Oil is a hardwax oil — natural oils and waxes that soak into the timber instead of forming a film on top, so a worn patch can be spot-repaired without sanding the whole floor back.
Which Osmo Polyx-Oil do I need?
All of the Original Polyx®-Oils protect the same way; the number is the sheen. 3011 is gloss, 3032 satin, 3065 semi-matt and 3062 matt. For a bare, almost raw look on light timber and oak, Effect RAW 3044 keeps the pale colour instead of ambering it. Effect Natural 3041 does the same on darker woods.
Short on time? Polyx®-Oil Express and Polyx®-Oil Rapid both cure faster than the Original, so a floor can go back into use the same weekend. Spray-Wax is sprayable Polyx®-Oil for furniture and joinery.
Floors, stairs and worktops
For stairs and any wet area, Polyx®-Oil 3088 and 3089 Anti-Slip are certified to R9 and R11 slip ratings. Kitchen worktops and chopping boards take Chopping Board Oil; doors and interior joinery take Door Oil. Top-Oil is the furniture and worktop finish, and comes in 5ml sachets if you want to test a tint on an offcut first.
Looking after an oiled floor
Oiled timber is maintained, not stripped. Wash and Care 8016 is the routine cleaner (1L and 5L), Intensive Cleaner 8019 lifts heavier soiling, and Polyx®-Oil Care & Repair Paste 3080 fixes scratches and worn spots locally. Using a soap cleaner instead of Wash and Care is the usual reason an oiled floor starts looking patchy.
