Our cut off saw range covers abrasive and cold-cut metal saws for cutting steel bar, rod, angle iron and tube. It suits steel fabricators, fencing installers and maintenance teams who need clean, square cuts through metal stock on site or in the workshop.
Choosing a cut off saw
Abrasive cut off saws use a bonded disc and cut quickly but generate sparks and heat, which can discolour the cut edge, while cold-cut saws use a toothed blade at lower speed for a cooler, cleaner cut with less burr. Blade or disc diameter determines maximum cutting capacity, so check it against the largest bar or tube diameter you cut regularly. Motor wattage affects how the saw handles denser or thicker steel, and cordless rod cutters are worth considering for lighter on-site work where running a corded saw isn't practical. Disc consumption is an ongoing cost with abrasive saws, so factor that into your running costs.
