ADA Instruments makes measuring and layout tools for builders, tilers, ceiling installers and surveyors who need accurate lines and distances from a straightforward, no-frills range. This collection holds the ADA range we stock: cross-line and 360 degree laser levels, laser distance meters and digital angle meters, with tripods and mounts to go with them.
Choosing within the ADA range
- Laser level type. A cross-line laser throws a horizontal and vertical line for tiling, shelving and partitions. A 360 degree laser projects a full ring around the room, which is faster for ceilings, skirting and setting out a whole space.
- Working range. Indoor renovators rarely need more than a room's width. Outdoor layout needs a receiver, so check the product page.
- Distance meters. A laser distance meter replaces a long tape for room sizes, ceiling heights and quantity take-offs. Pick by the longest measurement you make.
- Angle meters. Digital angle meters read bevel and mitre angles for roofing, staircases and joinery where a protractor is too coarse.
- Mounting. Most lasers thread onto a standard tripod. Add a tripod or wall mount if the job needs the beam at a set height.
Where to find a specific ADA product code
Many visitors reach this page by searching an ADA code such as AI60033 or AI60035. Those codes are the supplier part numbers, and each product page shows them under the title. Type a code from a quote or catalogue into the site search to go straight to that item.
ADA Instruments tools are available from our Claremont, Cape Town shop and ship nationwide by courier. Our staff use laser levels and distance meters daily on fit-outs and can advise which model suits your work. For optical levels see dumpy levels, for spirit levels see Stabila, and for tapes see tape measures.
