Pre-Aging is a water-based pre-treatment that reacts with the wood to create an authentic, weathered appearance in a range of Authentic tints, which is then sealed and coloured with Oil Plus 2C. Precolour Easy is a water-based pre-colour that adds a base tone, from Alpaca White and Mint White through Antique Beige and Cashmere Brown to Intense Grey and Monsoon Grey, so that the Oil Plus 2C colour applied over it produces a two-tone effect or a deeper, more even result on pale timbers. Because the final look depends on the pre-treatment, the oil colour and the wood species, Rubio recommends a test on an identical sanded sample before you commit to a floor.
