Osmo Polyx®-Oil is the hardwax oil the rest of the range is built around — natural oils and waxes that soak into timber instead of forming a film on top. It cannot blister or peel, and a worn patch is cleaned and re-oiled in place rather than sanded back.
Which number do I need?
All the Original Polyx®-Oils protect identically; the number is the sheen. 3011 gloss, 3032 satin, 3065 semi-matt, 3062 matt. Satin 3032 is what most floors get.
The Effect oils
Effect RAW 3044 keeps pale timber pale instead of ambering it — the one to use on light oak and ash where a normal oil would warm the colour. Effect Natural 3041 does the same job on darker woods.
Faster cure, and tints
Polyx®-Oil Express and Rapid cure quicker than the Original, so a floor goes back into use sooner. Spray-Wax is sprayable Polyx®-Oil for furniture and joinery. Polyx-Oil Tints add colour in matt, satin and semi-matt. For stairs and wet areas, 3088 and 3089 Anti-Slip carry R9 and R11 slip ratings.
Maintenance
Care & Repair Paste 3080 fixes scratches and worn spots locally. Clean with Osmo Wash and Care, never household soap — soap is the usual reason an oiled floor goes patchy.
