Decking
Osmo Decking Oil 430 Anti-Slip is the one for decks and pool surrounds: it keeps grip when wet, which matters on a Cape deck that gets winter rain. On a weathered or greyed deck, start with Wood Reviver Power-Gel 6609 to bring the colour back, then 8025 Decking Cleaner concentrate for routine washing before you re-oil.
UV protection: 410 or 420?
Both UV-Protection-Oil 410 and UV-Protection-Oil-EXTRA 420 slow the greying that strong South African sun causes. The difference is biocide: 420 includes film protection against algae and mould, which is worth having on a shaded or coastal elevation; 410 is without, for sunnier, drier positions and where a food-safe or planting-adjacent finish matters.
Colour
Osmo Country Colours is the opaque exterior finish for gates, doors, fascias and garden structures where you want solid colour rather than a translucent oil, while keeping the same breathable, non-peeling behaviour.
