A fantastic little saw BUT BEWARE this might not be the correct tool for you!

This is a really great little chainsaw But please BEWARE this is a top handle machine designed for advanced users, arborists and climbing. Whilst it can be used for cutting firewood, garden cleanup, breaking down large branches and felling small trees it is not the correct tool. If you’re NOT an experienced user you should rather buy a rear handled version which is much safer as it’s less prone to kickback injuries as it forces one to use two hands and affords a better grip and stance when cutting.
This saw is sold with a 300mm bar which is too long for safe control with one hand. When this saw was sold overseas it usually had a MUCH shorter bar.
Alternatively consider a reciprocating saw with coarse timber blade for garden work, it’s about the same price and can also be used for other projects.

A great tool in the garden

Compact but powerful, easily navigateable on a ladder trimming a tree, nimble while cutting branches on terra firma. This chainsaw punches above its weight

Makita Cordless Chainsaw

Waht a great edition to my Makita Cordless Line-up. Very capable little chainsaw! I have been using the tool very often on dry and wet wood and it does an excellent job. Duel battery sytem makes cutting wood a pleasure with enough charge not to carry extra batteries around.
