Great Vacuum BUT….

Firstly, this is a very good vacuum for shop clean up at a great price point. Value for money, powerful, not too loud, and big capacity. Capable of wet or dry use (change filters etc). I bought it for general cleanup around construction work. It pairs well with its dust cyclone partner or standalone for high volume sawdust, drywall or brick dust.
The paper filter bags seem flimsy and are likely to tear long before they’re full so I prefer the cloth bags from the other “yellow” brand. They fit, are much cheaper and work very well.
However, there are a few issues which could be problematic for some people.
1) It’s large! It’s big and round and with the castors it presents a significant obstacle. It’s very stable, can’t be pulled over but It takes up a lot of storage space. No, it won’t fit in the average cupboard.
2) It’s supplied with an earthed Shuko plug so it either needs an earthed Shuko to 3pin adapter (hard to get), Shuko extension lead (only available from Power Tool Services) or you must cut off the beautiful moulded plug and replace. Many people will find this a nuisance.
3) The power cord is very short, only 10feet or about 3.5m. So it will need an extension lead on most jobs (see #2 above).
4) The exhaust port is a powerful jet of air. There is no diffuser. This means that wherever the back of the machine points any dust or debris in its path is disturbed and blown all over the place. In practice this is a BIG issue as it’s very difficult to manage the “blast” direction.
Solution is to cable tie a knee length old sock to the outlet, not very elegant but it works (it needs suffice airflow to avoid back pressure on the motor).
