I bought this tripod to be able to fully utilise my Bosch line laser GLL 18V-120m quickly in virtually all situations. It’s such a time saver and in a construction setting will pay for itself in weeks.
No more setting up on step ladders or fixing battens or clamping timber struts to doors! It’s ‘relatively’ lightweight but very robust and sturdy even when fully extended (2.85m). The centre pin extends by winding a geared crank and is then locked down with a collar. The laser turntable rotates perfectly and can be locked in position. It’s very quick to setup and adjust accurately. mm adjustments are possible.
Importantly it keeps its settings
One small niggle, there is no onboard bulls eye bubble to aid rapid levelling. I’ve stuck on a third party bubble but at this price it should be standard.
If you use lasers - get one! AND if you don’t have the new GLL 18v -120m your seriously missing out.
