MAGNETITE: magnetic dust hose connectors that snap on with zero tools

Anyone who runs one 4" hose between a table saw, bandsaw and router table knows the ritual: line up the cuff, wrestle it onto the port, fight a hose clamp, undo it all at the next machine. MAGNETITE replaces the ritual with a snap.
How a magnetic dust hose coupler works
- Each quick connector carries six N52 neodymium magnets in a ring, about 2.7 kg of pull force each. Bring two halves together and they self-align and click.
- The combined holding force is far more than the axial pull a 4" extractor exerts on a sealed joint, so the coupler stays put under suction yet separates cleanly by hand.
- There is no magnet orientation to get wrong: any half mates with any other, so a connector can act as the male or the female side.
- Sized for standard 4" (100 mm) hoses and ports, and 3D-printed in a durable polymer that takes daily use.
When moving the hose takes one second instead of one minute, you reconnect every time, and that is what keeps a small shop clean.

Build your MAGNETITE setup
Start with the kit
The Starter Kit puts a matched pair of quick connectors and a 150 mm hose on your main run. One machine, one hose, tool-free.
Add a port per machine
Connections come in twos: one on the hose, one on the machine. Add a 2-pack for each tool you want on the system, or singles as you go.
Bridge awkward ports
The 150 mm flexible hose takes up slack and reaches ports that do not line up. A blank face lets you build your own adapters and plates.
Clamp what stays put
Where a hose is never moved, the 4" hose clamp with its 9 mm band makes the permanent joints airtight.

Does the MAGNETITE system fit standard 4-inch dust hoses?
Yes. MAGNETITE is built for standard 4" (about 100 mm) dust-collection hoses and the machine ports common on South African workshop tools: table saws, bandsaws, router tables, thicknessers and extractors.
Do magnetic dust hose connectors really hold under suction?
Yes. Each MAGNETITE quick connector carries six N52 neodymium magnets at roughly 2.7 kg of pull force each, arranged in a ring so the halves self-align. The combined holding force is far more than the axial pull a 4" extractor puts on a sealed joint, which is why the coupler stays put under full suction and still comes apart cleanly when you pull it by hand.
What is the difference between the Starter Kit, the 2-pack and the single connector?
The Starter Kit is the matched set to begin with: a pair of quick connectors plus a 150 mm flexible hose for your main run. The 2-pack adds two more connection points (one for the hose side, one for the machine side) for the next machine. The single adds one more join wherever you need it. All of them are interchangeable, and the blank coupler face with three magnets is for building your own adapters and plates.
Which routers does the Palm Router Jig fit?
The TSPRJ is made for palm and trim routers. It is drilled for Makita, DeWalt and Bosch palm router bases, or supplied undrilled so you can match the base-plate pattern of your own router; the product page shows which versions are in stock. It accepts standard guide bushings (not included) for template and inlay work.
Are ToolShark products made in South Africa?
Yes. The MAGNETITE connectors, the Palm Router Jig's handles and knobs, and the dovetail hardware are 3D-printed in Cape Town; the C-channels are locally manufactured from galvanised steel and powder-coated. Nothing on this page is a re-badged import.
