Gedore tools South Africa mechanics and maintenance fitters ask for are the spanner sets, socket sets and screwdrivers that stay accurate after years of daily use. This collection holds the Gedore range at Power Tool Services, from a single ratchet to a 172-piece socket set, for vehicle workshops, industrial maintenance, marine and agricultural engineers and serious home garages.
Choosing a Gedore set
- Spanner set. The Gedore Combination wrench set 12 pieces 10-32 mm covers the common metric sizes; the 21 pieces 6-32 mm version fills in every size between. For speed on long bolts, the Gedore Combination ratchet wrench set with adapters, 12 pieces 8-19 mm has a ratcheting ring end.
- Socket set. The Gedore Socket wrench set 1/4″ + 3/8″ + 1/2″ 172 pieces is a complete workshop kit in one case. The Socket wrench set 1/4″ + 1/2″ 92 pieces is the compact alternative.
- Screwdrivers. The Gedore PowerGrip3 6 pc Screwdriver Set covers slotted and Phillips. Electricians should choose the Gedore VDE screwdriver set, 7 pieces for insulated work.
Gedore vs Gedore Red
Gedore Red is the brand's second range, with a simpler finish and case, which is why the Gedore Red Combination spanner set 21-pieces 6-32 mm, the Gedore Red 1/4″ Drive Socket set 4-13mm 16pcs and the Gedore Red 1/2″ Drive Socket set 24pcs appeal to apprentices and home workshops. The main Gedore line, such as the Gedore Metric Combination Spanner Set 1B-26M, is the professional range for daily trade use. For another professional mechanics' range see Teng Tools, and for woodworking and general tools see hand tools.
