Choosing Bosch sanding discs
- Disc diameter and holes. 125mm discs come in 8-hole and no-hole, and 150mm discs in 15-hole, 6-hole and multihole. Match the hole pattern to your sander's pad or dust extraction drops off sharply.
- Grade for the job. C450 Standard is the general-purpose paper, sold in 5-packs and boxes of 50 for production work. EXPERT C470 lasts longer on wood and paint. Best for Wood+Paint is the premium disc for furniture. M480 sanding net clogs far less on filler, paint and drywall, and is stocked in 150mm and the 225mm drywall sander size.
- Grit range. Each listing lets you select grit, from coarse stock removal through to fine finishing before oil or lacquer.
- Belt sizes. 75 x 457mm, 75 x 533mm and 100 x 610mm belts cover the common Bosch belt sanders, in 3-packs and 10-packs.
- Other shapes. 93mm delta sheets, 95 x 135mm multi-sander sheets, 115 x 107mm 6-hole sheets for the orbital sheet sanders, and J450 cloth-backed rolls for hand sanding.
Sanding belts for belt sanders and metal fibre discs
Bosch Best for Wood belts cut faster and run cooler on hardwood than the standard belts. For steel, the Best for Metal fibre discs in 115mm and 180mm fit an angle grinder with a backing pad.
