Description
Introducing the Toolmate Lathe 12" Variable Speed (Wood), the perfect small bench-top lathe for pen making and bowl turning. With a capacity to turn bowls up to 8" (200mm) in diameter and a between centre distance of 12" (305mm), this lathe is ideal for a variety of projects. Its standard 1" x 8tpi spindle thread allows for easy attachment of a small chuck like the Jet chuck, which is recommended at a maximum of 65mm in diameter to avoid strain on the head-stock bearings. The head-stock and tail-stock both have a no 1 morse taper hole for easy attachment of accessories. The electronically variable speed, adjusted by means of a pod on the front of the lathe, ranges from 650 to 3,150rpm, making it suitable for model makers and more. This lathe comes with a tool rest, a small face-plate, and drive-and-tail-stock centers. Its compact size and net weight of 18kg make it easy to mount on any sturdy table.
